Kate is so bad that we blame it all on her
A wonderful floating space of modern glam, clean lines, brass branch lamps, an oversized starburst mirror full of texture . . .
Yup, this space just makes me happy!
Hope you all have a great day indeed!
Someday soon I should have the new site up and running! I hope. . .
Guess where I was a couple of weeks ago? Visiting my fabulous sister in the equally fabulous NYC! With three days to myself, I had only one thing on my agenda. . .ABC Carpet & Home!! Lindsey lives in the West Village, so I had the bright idea to walk on up to 19th Street. . . The walk was pretty long, but the trip was worth it!
Walls of hide rugs greeted me in ABC Carpet! The prices were all in the $300-$500 range. We all know a good dealer at Metrolina that can beat the price, but maybe not the selectionPillows and blankets stacked 10 rows high! Divine pillows and fabric by Eskayel. . .I have samples at home I ordered from Walnut Wallpaper, but nothing like this!A brass bike that made my mouth water it was so divine! At this weeks Trina Turk event in Charlotte, NC, she displayed these exact pendants in one of her stores! All of the elevator doors have distinct themes. . .this one is my favorite by far!Nothing less than fabulous: A coffee table made of reclaimed wood and liquid chrome legs! Marble Kitchen Island on Vintage 1890 Machinist Base-$12,500.00 The perfect historic island for a modernist kitchen. Jonathan Robshaw bedding steals the show.No doubt this is classier than your average garden stool.Ralph Lauren makes a strong impact and I know I want to live on this floor! It’s all in the details! Exposed nail heads add rustic charm to an elegant linen chair.
All in all, I spent over 4 hours visiting 5 floors and was inspired more than I could begin to share with you.
What inspires you?
Sweet Home Charlotte is moving. . . to Blogger! While I have loved my time blogging away at WordPress, the new platform will allow me to accept advertisers and buttons from businesses that are “sweet” to me! It should also be easier to expand my network of friends, family and followers. . . or at least I am counting on it!
The new blogger address is www.sweethomecharlotte.blogspot.com or click Sweet Home Charlotte to check out my sweet new look. It wont be long until the transition is complete, I will be transferring my domain name in the next day or two. I hope that all of my loyal friends and followers will sign up to follow me at the new platform.
The best part about switching to Blogger is being able to get the look that I want, for a price I can afford. I hired the fabulous Ms. Alison, writer of the blog Long Distance Loving and owner of Polish Your Blog, to help update Sweet Home Charlotte’s look, and I cant wait to share it with you. Celerie Kemble says that every room should have a touch of lucite and we know she can't be wrong. After spotting quite a bit of lucite hardware in her books, and just about everywhere, I became just a wee bit obsessed with its lux factor. I searched around on Pinterest the other day to share some pictures of my favorite ways to accent your abode with the timeless material.
