Sale of the Day: Beside Manor

While out and about (sans kiddos) today, I came across Bedside Manor’s Summer Sale. Even on sale,  most items in this high-end luxury shop would still be considered pricey by most people standards. Never deterred by things or shops that I can not afford, I  headed inside to dive into the luxury linens and bath accessories. I was pleasantly surprise by how genuinely nice the sales staff  was to my sweaty work out clad self.

The sale lamp selection does not disappoint. The silver candlestick “Messenger Lamp,” from high-end lighting company Currey & Company, rings in at $189.

While rows of divine pillow’s line the walls, this natural linen and grey “vertical key” stood out at $127.50. I could see at least 3 on the shelf, so finding a second shouldnt be a challenge.

I could not stop touching the icy blue pillow’s below. They are literally made of the softest fabric I have ever touched and I will go to sleep tonight dreaming of them for sure. At nearly half price, these pillows are beyond worth it at $152.50.

Made in the Shade

Replacing old lamp shades is an easy and affordable way to refresh an old lamp and update a room.  In the room shown above, check out the modern,  large, white barrel drum shades on the traditional brass floor lamps. The tall shades add height and make the lamps appear to pop off of the seagrass wallpaper.

I recently scored this beautiful vintage leucite lamp at Slate Interiors for under $100. The only problem being that it was missing its  shade. Knowing full well I had to have it, I gambled on the fact that I could find one! Hours of internet searching lead me to EveryLampShade.com. http://www.everylampshade.com The name is not a joke,  they really might have every lamp shade under the sun!

Tuesday Morning Finds on a Dime

On a quick trip to Tuesday Morning, I spotted three sets of the cutest ceramic lamps for $49. The lavender is of the lightest shade and even has the lucite base. I would probably replace the shades with something more custom.The turquoise and coral lamps have metal bases and great shades. At $100 a pair, they are a total steal!

How fabulous would these look on a dining room buffet or as beside table lamps?

Get the Look: Star Lighting

Lighting, the older I get, the more important it becomes. . . crows feet be gone!  Choosing the right chandelier or fixture sets the mood for the whole room. I  saw this AMAZING look online  this morning (at Elle Decor) and thought it looked familiar:
